Casey Cadwallader and Sandra Choi bring their respective houses together to create some of the most empowering shoes on the market today.

For the past couple of years, collaborations have been all the rage. Numerous celebrities have joined forces with different luxury brands to fuse their style with the signature looks of their chosen house. Now, it looks like 2022 will see these partnerships continue with Jimmy Choo and Mugler’s new capsule collaboration, which seamlessly combines the aesthetics and design ingenuity of both brands, resulting in a distinct selection of incredibly cool footwear.
For the Mugler & Jimmy Choo FW 22′ collection, Mugler’s creative director Casey Cadwallader and Jimmy Choo’s creative director Sandra Choi have sought to merge their roots to convey a joint message of powerful, confident, and glamorous femininity. In particular, Cadwallader and Choi have drawn on the French house’s reputation for producing dynamic and empowered garments. They also emphasize the shoe brand’s legacy of glamour: a capsule that is not only visually stunning and well-constructed but also conveys an image of strength and uniqueness.
The complete collection includes pumps, boots and sandals. It also showcases the style of both brands and stays true to their roots. Both have updated their classic silhouettes and designs for the modern woman who is aware of the strength and attitude a great pair of shoes can bring.
“Mugler and Jimmy Choo are synonymous with strength: our women are strong, glamorous and in control. Here, our women are literally the centre of every image: they are the stars. The fact that these images are captured by a female photographer adds an extra dimension: Harley’s work always celebrates femininity, a vision of women by a woman. There’s an inherent strength to that, which is very Mugler, and quintessential Jimmy Choo.” says Sandra Choi.
Black, nude and neon yellow are the main colour palette. As for the details, there is a lot of PVC, mesh and cutouts.
In a homage to the female form, the capsule champions femininity, power and glamour, while drawing on both brands’ vast archives and history of creating iconic designs.
The “JCXM Sock Boots” are inspired by Mugler creative director Casey Cadwallader’s iconic “spiral” and “illusion” and all the super sexy, de and contoured one-two punch trends. It also features small buckled leather straps in a homage to Jimmy Choo’s 90’s leather sandals and the Mugler signature.
