The 6 Most Outstanding Runway Moments of Supermodel Kate Moss

We revisit the best runway moments of one of the most legendary supermodels of the ‘90s.

Kate Moss

Katherine Ann Moss was 14 years old when a scouter from the Storm agency discovered her at John Fitzgerald Kennedy Airport in New York. She didn’t look like the models of the moment. she wasn’t voluptuous, nor did she have the curves of Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, or Naomi Campbell.

At the time, the fashion industry was populated by supermodels, famous for their sculptural, curvaceous and traditionally glamorous images. Unsurprisingly, Kate had the figure of the girl she still was, and a disturbingly exotic face: angular, youthful and with pronounced cheekbones.

In 1990, Moss came to the attention of the fashion industry when a series of photographs of her – taken by British photographer Corinne Day – were published in a youth-style magazine. Then, between 1992 and 1993, the British model began to draw attention on the runway with a large number of performances. In addition to appearing with John Galliano, she also worked for many fashion brands who wanted to have her on the runway, for instance, Karl Lagerfeld, Helmut Lang, Ralph Lauren, Dolce&Gabbana, Gianfranco Ferré, Callaghan, Complice, Chanel, Chloé, Javier Larrainzar, Prada, Blumarine and Vivienne Westwood, among the most prominent.

Being considered an anti-model, she became one of the biggest and most important model for the fashion industry.  As a tribute to Kate Moss, we revisit her 6 best moments on the runway,
