The annual Cannes Film Festival is as well known for its particular brand of glitz and glamour as it is for its credentials in the film industry. It comes to fulfil all the expectations this can bring, with one of the most interesting and exciting red carpets. TOM CRUISE

He returned to Cannes with the new film Top Gun: Maverick. He attended the film premiere wearing an elegant black Giorgio Armani suit.

BELLA HADID

In a timeless and grandiose look designed by Law Roach, Cannes Film Festival guest star Bella Hadid wore a stunning strapless black Versace gown with a dramatic pleated waistline and an oversized, undeniably chic bow at the back. The design was originally made by Gianni Versace in 1987 for a Teatro Alla Scala production of the opera Salome.

LEE JUNG JAE:

Squid Game actor Lee Jung-Jae looked elegant in a refreshing white ensemble that seemed a perfect fit for the French Riviera.

ANNE HATHAWAY

Anne Hathaway made her Cannes Film Festival debut, promoting her new movie, Armageddon Time. While she made a series of stylish appearances that will go down in Cannes fashion history, it was this elegant Armani Privé moment that stood out so far. She paired her shimmering column dress with a train. She complemented the look one-of-a-kind Bulgari necklace.

ELLE FANNING

Elle Fanning had a princess moment at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, sweeping down the red carpet in a tulle Armani Privé gown with a beaded bodice. She accessorised her blonde curls with a delicate bow made from the same material as her dress, while Chopard jewellery provided a perfect finishing touch.

MILES TELLER

Miles Alexander Teller walked the red carpet in a head to toe cream-toned Celine suit. Teller also wore a black bow tie and a white shirt.
