Fendace Campaign Pre-Fall 2022 Campaign – the new campaign by Fendi and Versace.
After unveiling their joint “Fendace” collection last year, Fendi and Versace unveiled a campaign dedicated to the launch.
The images, shot by Steven Meisel, see models Adut Akech, Anok Yai, Imaan Hammam, Naomi Campbell, Kristen McMenamy and more wearing the “Fendi by Versace” and “Versace by Fendi” pieces as they enter the “Fendace nightclub”.
And the campaign really is a party: the accompanying press release describes Fendace as an “exclusive nightclub”: everyone wants in, but not everyone is going to get in.
“It’s an exchange rather than a collaboration and, above all, it’s done out of friendship. It’s the beauty of togetherness after time apart and a celebration of women that have inspired me so much,” Kim Jones spoke of the team.
Donatella Versace added: “The campaign captures the same sense of friendship and energy we had when we were designing the collection. Kim is a visionary designer and innovator. To me, ‘Fendace’ will always mean love.”
The campaign also featured the work of makeup artist and hairstylist Guido Palau with his colourways and hairstyles that stood out. In addition, Pat McGrath’s luminous makeup completed the look. Styles like the Peekaboo and Baguette combine the most iconic staples of the House of Fendi with the boldness of Versace, while La Medusa combines the Fendi FF logo with Versace’s core DNA.
The collection includes swimwear, designer handbags, form-fitting dresses, gold jewellery and printed scarves, which stylist Jacob K has highlighted in the images.
The Fendi x Versace collaboration will be presented on May 12, 2022, through a series of events and pop-ups around the world, to be held in cities such as Paris, Tokyo, New York, London, Los Angeles and Kuwait, among others. In addition, the full collection will only be available in the stores mentioned above.
