Victoria’s Secret Is Hitting the Runway Again—with a Modern Makeover

Victoria’s Secret is officially reviving its runway show later this year—and this time, it’s coming back with a new creative voice and a more inclusive vision.

The lingerie brand announced the return of its iconic fashion show, marking another step in its ongoing evolution. The revival will unfold under the direction of Adam Selman, who took over as Senior Vice President and Executive Creative Director in April.

For Selman, it’s a full-circle moment. He began his career at Victoria’s Secret, working under designer Zaldy Goco, the mastermind behind the brand’s signature Angel wings. Since then, Selman has built a name for himself as a bold designer—most famously crafting Rihanna’s crystal-embellished gown at the 2014 CFDA Awards—and later shaping the inclusive style identity of Savage X Fenty, helping to launch size-diverse loungewear and lingerie.

His return comes at a pivotal time. Victoria’s Secret is no longer the brand it once was, and Selman is poised to help redefine it—not through nostalgia, but by pushing it forward.

The last time the brand hosted a runway show was in October 2024, following a long hiatus. That event brought back major names—Gigi Hadid, Tyra Banks, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio—and featured performances by Cher, Lisa from BLACKPINK, and Tyla. Still, the show felt noticeably pared back: no Fantasy Bra, no oversized wings, no maximalist styling.

With Selman now in charge, Victoria’s Secret has a chance to rethink what its runway stands for. His creative vision blends high fashion with functionality and embraces today’s demand for diversity, comfort, and real representation.

Though the upcoming show’s date remains under wraps, Selman’s track record hints at a show that’s not just visually stunning but also culturally relevant—something that reflects where fashion, and society, is today.

Victoria’s Secret has been working to shed its outdated image after years of criticism for its narrow definitions of beauty. Its latest moves—including hiring Selman, casting more diverse models, and expanding its product range—show an effort to change.

Selman brings both credibility and a fresh perspective. With experience at both Victoria’s Secret and a brand that challenged it directly, he understands the balance between fantasy and authenticity—and what it takes to create a show that resonates today.

This isn’t just a comeback for the brand. It’s a reinvention. And this time, the spotlight is on more than just the runway—it’s on how Victoria’s Secret chooses to move forward.
