ETRO brings Nordic charm to Pre-Fall 2022 Collection.
“Nordic New-Normal” is the title that creative director Veronica Etro gave to the brand’s pre-fall line. The designer focused on a wintry, outdoorsy inspiration. She didn’t want to link the collection to a specific country or culture. “It’s like a celebration of all things Nordic,” Etro said.
Indoors and outdoors blended in the line, which featured a lovely combination of wintry whites combined with vibrant hues, from orange and yellow to green and turquoise.
The lineup also features a charming combination of winter whites matched with vibrant shades, from orange and yellow to green and turquoise. Moreover, knitwear stole the spotlight with fringed robe coats, maxi ponchos layered on denim outfits and hoodies trimmed with passementerie, all with ETRO’s signature while bringing a dramatic twist to them.
The lightweight turtlenecks are layered under cool pinstriped suits. There were also Jacquard knitted sets with young vibes and chic quilted jackets in printed floral silk linings, chic caftan dresses, loose-fitting pyjama suits, loungewear-inspired robes and kimono jackets.
Military jackets with maxi pockets were also present, mainly in mannish cargo pants. The Etro’s signature maxidresses were featured prints, giving the pieces an airy, breezy feel.
As regards accessories, the brand included knitted collars to under jackets and ponchos to embroidered belts, full of “a folk feeling”. Boots highlighted the cosy, versatile look spirit of this appealing collection.
